Nature's Altercations

Nature's Altercations

A Poem by Vicky
"

Another personification poem, but this time I personified a storm. I wrote this while on a plane, waiting to take off, delayed by the storm going on outside.

"

The window is crying,

Petulant, reluctant to stop.

The lightning streaks down,

Full of wrath and hatred,

Trying to strike the window

In a desperate attempt to scare its tears away.

But the window’s tears only continue.

It can’t survive without the lightning,

Even if the lightning causes it excruciating pain.

They go together like a puzzle,

To help the storm penetrate the sky,

And do its dreadful work.

Author's Note

Vicky
Just a helpful hint- the window cries (i.e. rain) whenever the lightning comes and tries to abuse it, and together they create a storm. I just wanted to clear that up as this is a very metaphorical representation of a storm. (Also, the periods and commas might be a bit off!)
