The feelings dim

What once was intense as a hurricane

Now is nothing more than a cold breeze

My life is becoming more stable

With that my loneness is quieted

The familiar smells fade

The flashing memories blur

The people

The ones I cared for so much

The ones that made the place special

Some are forgotten

Others will never be

They hold a place so dear in my heart

They will live on forever

Even if I am far

In my world

Their faces always bright

Clear in my mind

To inspire and guide me

So as my experiences fade away

Those few will always be there for me

In my memory

They make happiness and love blossom in my life

Even when they haven't been in my life for many years
