The depth of feeling unloved

I just want to feel loved..
Not a feeling of being drugged.
Please! I beg for your mercy..
Is this yet another controversy?

Lord forgive me I have sinned..
for my inner beauty has been skinned..
PLEASE take away my pain..
I don’t want to watch him stay so vain..
I pray you keep me safe at night.
But I find the strength I will stay and fight.

"ONCE I find the strength...." (or "IF" - you choose). More power in that. "But" makes that ending anticlimactic.

You have a knack for writing cheesy poems that rock despite being cheesy. That's extremely hard to pull off for the average poet - and I mean extremely. I notice that in all that you've posted, you've only had one other comment/review, and I have to wonder whether people read the first bit of cheesiness and bail. NO! That's the defining characteristic that makes these poems so good. It's your style and voice, and you rock it!

And this message rings true: we all want to be loved.....for we all deserve to be loved.

Thank you.. I know that I’m a bit cheesy but this is an outlet for me. My spelling is often off due to late night writing and honest guessing, along with the idea that this flows from my head to the screen I’m sharing something with strangers that I won’t share with people i know.
