I'm fine

I'm fine

A Poem by Rahul Chhabra
"

To all those who ask me, what is in her that I love her so much, this is:

"
All I hope is that
one day...

One day if I could lend you my eyes,
You will see what beauty is.

You will see beauty
in her fine eyes.
Those which will compel
you to drown in her depth.

You will see beauty
in her fine smile.
That which will make
you fall for her every time.

You will see beauty
in her fine face.
More beautiful than any other...

One day if I could lend you my ears,
You will hear what beauty is.

You will hear beauty
in her fine laughter.
That which will force
you to laugh with her.

You will hear beauty
in her fine voice.
That which will make
you forget everything else.

You will hear beauty
when she calls your name.
When you realise your
name was so beautiful.
When you feel your name
is so safe in her fine lips...

One day if I could lend you my fingers,
You will touch what beauty is.

You will touch beauty
in her fine skin.
So soft, you won't
put your hands off.

You will touch beauty
in her fine hands.
Those which if are in
yours, you own the world.

You will touch beauty
in her fine hair.
Curling at the perfect
place, adding beauty
to the beautiful...

One day if I could lend you my lips,
You will kiss what beauty is.

You will kiss beauty
in her fine lips.
So tempting, you would
kiss her endlessly.

You will kiss beauty
in her fine forehead.
That which will
make her yours forever.

You will kiss beauty
in her fine cheeks.
The love that she'll
give you would definitely
leave you wordless...

And then would you realise what beauty is.
And when you ask her, "How are you?"
She'll just say, "I'm fine."

I really liked the structure of the poem and I thought it was very creative. Thank you for asking me to read this. I like how the poem flows with the first part being about what you can see, the second part being more about her laughter, etc. Very methodical and it sounds very real. Thanks again!

Ah a humble woman....makes her even more beautiful. I would have said...when you feel your name uttered from her fine lips...the musical quality that the voice gives to it.Nicely done!

O_O I loved the meaning and the word selection. I love the impact you get even tho its settle in the way its written and I love how this practically sums up the female population all on its own. the structure is also very well done and the way you played with fine was really well done as well. Over all I loved it and I hope that this poem finds itself to young women that need to understand how special they are and men that need to understand what they have. I'm just speechless at its accuracy over all.

I liked this very much. The overuse of the word 'fine' was a great tool in really capturing the meaning of the poem. You made want to see the beauty.

What an interesting study in using the senses! I really enjoyed reading this and wish there was more of it. Would you consider adding stanzas that explore your subject witht the other senses? I like that without even knowing your subject I can get a feel for her humility. Your indirect characterization was effective and interesting. Well done!
