Fear Wins This One

Fear Wins This One

A Poem by Aiza

Fear screamed me back to you
The threats, the nightmares, the pain

Numbers blinking
Terror

Quick, thoughtless knocks on the white door
Horror

The snappy, profane words you use to strike me
And down I fall into my own waves and drown

Now you won't leave my head
So is this what you wanted?
The fear of you to wash me away? To wash away who I could be?

You've won. I am afraid of all that you are and all that you have and ever will do.
