Nuisances of BeautyA Poem by AizaThe cold eats my bones While the rest of the world smiles At the white that buries all color
I think the snow falls to cover up secrets, To cover the sins of the people Purity blankets our mistakes With sheets of whiteness
Joy on the faces of children Innocence plays Pretending Until maturity makes us "unfun" No longer imaginitive
Nuisances of beauty Lovely to view, But the freeze burns my skin
While the rest of the world laughs, I cry The cold does nothing for me. © 2009 AizaFeatured Review
