Rocking Chair

Rocking Chair

A Poem by Aiza
"

A pantoum style poem for Creative Writing. I'm surprised by the way it turned out..

Rocking chair

Spare me some time

Toss me back to the good days

Listen to the sweet, cynical lullabies

Spare me some time

Raise my head from drowsy days

Listen to the sweet, cynical lullabies

Shake the terror from these eyes

Raise my head from drowsy days

Familiar to my senses

Shake the terror from these eyes

Splinters from the past

Familiar to my  senses

Splinters from the past

Rocking chair

Toss me back to the good days

Nothing like a rocking chair and a warm summer night. Need some ice tea and talk of the good days. A outstanding poem. Brought back days when time with family and long conversations were important.
