november

A Poem by Aiza

When i first saw you that night,

            The cold left me

I watched you smile and the music was loud

and i couldn't quite distinguish which car was turning it up

Soon we were hand in hand

Back to the place we remembered from that rainy evening

Back even farther to our days on the playground

It was November

A full moon that night

I saw it shining in your eyes [[as you moved in closer]]

It was quiet, but i could almost hear the heartbeats

And i swear the moonbeams were singing our song..

On the park bench. Where we spent most of our time -- I never wanted you More

Between the whispering, breathing, feeling, smiling

                                   Leaves scuttled in the wind

These resplendent sounds blazed in the air

                Our fervent November.
