million and one

million and one

A Poem by Aiza

She had a million and one reasons

But each one had its drawbacks

A girl with a heart on her hand

And a smile that could save the world

Eyes of fire

--Or sapphire

She counted her dreams

And wished

    Looking out of windows

 Screaming    cries of confusion

The tear that fell first hit her shooting star

The star with the sparkle

The one that was truth

Realities undiscovered

Mindless worries that        devoured her life

  Recovered from mistakes like terror

She shouted inner mindlessness

So the stars could hear her

Waiting for answers

And pondering all those questions

Signs that showed replies

Made her thoughts go steady

Still her heart raced

And thinking of all her troubles

Tears began to tremble in fiery eyes

Scorching her cheeks

   Fearful and unfound

Running from nightmares and the haunting

Of a soon past

She had a million reasons

And just one more

That made all the difference

That built her future

It was the one in a million

And one
