Patience is a virtue.

Patience is a virtue.

A Poem by Cassandra
"

I need to heed my own advice.

"

All I ever wanted

Came and went like spring.

All I ever needed

Was an elusive thing.

The hardest part of grasping

Was the oil on my hands.

The hardest part of asking

Were the words I didn’t understand.

Patience, patience

Little one.

Someday. Soon. Then.

Your time will come.

And all you ever needed

Will unfold

Into the things you ever wanted.

Those things

Will soon be told.

And at last " you will grasp,

And you’ll ask and

You’ll know.

And the time will come

And you’ll learn to let go,

Let of go of the things you want;

Because none of it is as perfect

As the things that you’ll have,

Only after a bit of

Patience is had.

About
Hey all! My name is Cassandra, though I prefer my nickname, Rae. I've been writing since I can barely remember. I used to love to write epic fantasies, much of the JK Rowling/Tolkien type, but now I'm.. more..
