FOR JEREMY

You’ve captured my heart

Like a soldier with tanks

You’ve re-written my life

And filled in the blanks

You made me see things

I thought were only in dreams

When my heart was broken

And ripped at the seams

Not a day goes by

That you don’t fill me with love

You’re my perfect fit

Like a hand to a glove

You’re my high and my low

Like the ocean tides

Our love was triumphant

When I thought I had died

Your soul engulfs me

I want nothing more

When life’s the disease

You are my cure
