BLEACH

BLEACH

A Poem by Julie Spade
"

it's about losing value to something essential such as a Nirvana BLEACH album or to anoverworked shirt.

"

In my Scarlet moments

          I can't contain my focus

My thought rises
cracking cemented sizes
my flannel is wet never dry
time for a salute and a goodbye
my room smells of a holy plant
I need to let it go but I can't

        The morning fleas
and I step on my  broken VHC's
the co-co clocks ticks
the paints peals
and  vanishes
the sunflower dies
the machine twirls fast
         a soft button -blast!

bleach, soap , and clean!
     the memories burn and flee
               the shirt begins to speak
            "I thought you loved me!"

Julie, do you mean "the morning fleas"?
Or the morning flees?
The meaning changes a LOT...

I'm not being picky, just trying to help.
