Rudy

Rudy

A Poem by terriblerosey
"

About my cat.

"

So misunderstood
Alone in a world of towering figures
Doing all he could
Just trying to please them, why can’t they see him?

Rudy’s chasing lights
Never-ending fun
Till his days are done
Rudy’s chasing lights
With a goal in mind
Must be so divine
Somebody
Help him see the truth
Say there never is
A place for you
Because young
Rudy’s chasing lights
What will it take
To make the ending fake

Doesn’t have a care
Living a life of meaningless laughter
Wish the game were fair
Why have a wish when no one can grant them

Because poor
Rudy’s reaching heights
Painfully despite
All the kids’ delight

Oh my poor
Rudy’s just a mite
Should he know?
No, I’ll just hold him tight
