Love PoemA Poem by Ramsey's RebellionThis poem is about how lies seep into our poems of love and mask the truth of the object of our affection.
I could write dramatic poesy,
print words to paint pictures potent in partial half formed truth. I could write of longing, stirring, my desire unchecked and ravaging my every thought. I could pen mountains, chisel promises in stone, and proclaim eternity to the wind. I could build you up with hollow words scripted in an ever changing water. Instead, I'll tell the truth-- the flaws, fights, and inconsistencies,
the monotony of day to day, the price of commitment, of love. © 2012 Ramsey's RebellionReviews
