A Miracle of GeneticsA Poem by Ramsey's RebellionThis poem is inspired by my wife.
She stands before me in the early morning.
Her hair cascades in slow waves lightly lapping against her form-- still lively with youth, not yet stretched by motherhood or dragged down by the slow curse of time. My eager, nervous insecurity crumbles in light of her confident smile. Doubt is assuaged as this moment solidifies, expanding beyond the abstract; it cuts into reality with surgical precision. Hope blooms in her inner garden. The conductor has taken stage as violins strike unifying harmonies. Her body is the virtuoso, for deep within, under folds of flesh, a miracle of genetics has fused into a masterwork for beyond the works of men. © 2012 Ramsey's RebellionAuthor's Note
