What To Do?

What To Do?

A Poem by r
"

About an ex-best friend. We were so close, and she just dropped me like yesterday's garbage. I'm really hurt, and I still don't know how to react.

"
Frightening dreams,
Disturbing thoughts,
Comments, lies,
Battles fought.

Daunting obstacle,
Treacherous climb,
Strive forward,
Don't fall behind.

Monotonous pattern,
Robotic steps,
Obscure symmetry,
They all connect.

Days move forward,
Time flies by,
Cognitions still distorted,
I wonder why.

Tiny steps,
Still stuck in the past,
Still I'm mourning,
My flag's at half-mast.

Cut it loose,
Let it free,
My life is awesome,
But it sucks to be me.

Enslaved into
A world full of lies,
Broken hearts, bloody knuckles,
A long list of goodbyes.

I just want peace,
To stop this war,
My heart, it aches,
My body's so sore.

Let's make this end,
Let's still be friends,
Are you ok?
I'll end your pain.

Protect her (Forget her)
Open arms (Cause her harm)
Make peace (F**k peace)
My heart is torn (To say the least.)

Wow, it's so sad, but so great! But I agree with Zeitgeist Manifesto. Hopefully there is a happy ending.
