You left me here

All alone

No one to love

No place is home

 

I wish I could take it all back

Start from the beginning

Begin the story once again

And stop all the sinning

 

I trusted you

You proved me wrong

You killed me inside

And now you’re gone

 

I will do what I want now

Take myself on a joy ride

The ups and downs of life forgotton

As I lose my inhabitions and pride

 

I remember when

You were around

You looked so good

But you brought me down

 

I wanted to believe

That it’d be better this time

You lie, lie, and lie again

This time the fault is mine

 

Forget the past

If only for a while

Kick back, relax

And show a smile

 

You should know

You showed me the way

So now I take myself on a joy ride

That just ends in pain

Very interesting title and subject matter. Mainly, the way you choose to express it. I think it flows more being presented as lyrics rather then straight poetry, I say that because the language could be a lot more elaborate, you could use more techniques like similes and metaphors, which, can lack more in lyrics. Over-all, the poem is solid and I would simply suggest you keep writing, keep challenging your self to expand your vocab.
