Ode To Patty

missing someone is something
that i hate to feel
I sit and cry wishing
that this reality isn't real

Everything i do
that i did when they were around
doesn't feel the same anymore
because they can't share the moments' sound

right now i am missing
someone who is very close to me
all of my feelings
were opened up for her to see

she told me to be good
and try to do the right thing
even though i fail alot
all i can say is im trying

now when i sit in the comfy chair
or listen to "the sweet escape"
i think of the fun i had with her

those memories feel great

now every day i go through
i think my life cant be the same
untill, patty my best friend
i can finally see once again

This is very heartfelt. The ending ties it up nicely and really gives the emotion a very real feeling. I like it!

I think this stanza needs a little re-wording, though. Just simple stuff, though, like...
She told me to be good
and to do the right thing
sometimes I fail,
even when I'm trying

or something like that....
Other then that, I really like it. I hope you are alble to mend your friendship! I have a feeling things will get better!
