The Ballad of Edward Scissor Hands part 1A Poem by rachylouBased on the movie Edward Scissor HandsJust look at him there he stands, Edward with his scissor hands, So sad that his creator died, Before Edwards hands could be applied, Alone at night he would look down, From the mansion over the town, Yet what a tale there was to tell, When the avon lady rang the bell.
The avon lady found his mansion was lush, Covering the ground were topiary bush, Outside the house was dark and gloomy, Inside it was empty and roomy, He was found at the top in a attic, His hair stood on end like static, Yet what a tale there was to tell, When the avon lady rang the bell.
The avon lady took him home, And over the neibourhood he became known, As poor Edward Scissor hands, Without the skill most tasks demands, People felt sorry for him, For the chance of a normal life was slim, Yet what a tale there was to tell, When the avon lady rang the bell.
He found it diddicult to eat a pea, Nevermind eat a meal at tea, His pale face was cut and scarred, From hands as sharp as a shard, The avon lady put on some cream, To make his broken skin gleam, Yet what a tale there was to tell, When the avon lady rang the bell. © 2012 rachylouAuthor's Note
