Daddy's Girl
A Poem by rachielle
Another old poem I found in my 2009 journal.
Fear spreads- Poison in my veins; For a reason My heart can't contain. Tears fall Flowing like a river- Still he stands, And remains my father. Like a child Afraid of the dark, Fear bounds my soul; He left his mark. With silence, He tortured; With a look, He killed. Fear pierced My heart, Left a hole Like a pointed dart. The hollow Can't be filled Until words appear And provide me a shield.

I enjoyed this piece, very much. You greatly expressed your attitude toward him and the things done unto you.

This is a emotional write here.
I know it must hurt to have a father like that.
He is the only one you will ever have
I wish My dad was still around.

I have issues with my dad too, Rach. Never thought of writing about him before... Kudos to you!
