Nowhere to Go

Nowhere to Go

A Poem by rachielle

Things weren't what I expected them to be.
Suddenly,
The world changed,
And I find myself going round and round a maze
Of unwinding walls and staircase.

Foreign neon lights surround me
In the unfamiliar streets I try to flee.
I look for something, anything
To take me home;
But I got lost along the way.

In the blink of an eye,
I am six feet above the ground
With no courage to cry,
And no idea where I'm bound.

For once in my life,
I should be scared,
But I'm not;
Because I'm happy
Wherever this road may lead me.

This is quite the write here. I like this. I agree with craig froman on this as well. Very light write flowing with freedom. Well done.

I get an image of someone who's lost, but because they want to be. Kind of like "Into the Wild", and it's awesome.

There is such a light, flowing expression of freedom here. Though things changed from your expectations, you move on in joy for the future. Wonderful!
