Tonight, I look up and the sky is different.

Her luminous beauty, always taken for granted, is gloriously apparent-

With a dazzling shade of midnight blue,

Tonight, the night sky triggers a slightly different cue.

Beneath her, a translucent sheet of clouds spread,

Highlighted by artificial city lights ahead.

A cool, light breeze floats by

As the sparkling stars scatter up high.

Words can never grasp

Such a breathtaking sight.

Everything seems to fit right

On this astonishingly beautiful night-

Even when the moon is hiding,

The sky is continuously glowing.

Nothing could compare to something like this,

It’s like the magic of your first real kiss-

Life-changing, stunning, amazing.

During times like these,

I feel God’s hands painting colors

Onto the earth and all its wonders.

Maybe they just need us to notice,

To see them with eyes of innocence;

In order to bestow upon us an unexplainable bliss,

We must try to really see and feel their presence.

Rachielle like craig I do agree this is a glorious write. You must have been in a transcendental ambiance to capture these images. You have taken into me into the regions of theology (God), the cosmos (stars and heavens) anthropology (humans). I must say I enjoyed the pleasnt trip, thank you Rachielle!
