Amitié

This is a poem I wrote for my best friend.

Your soul and mine
They intertwine
Like that of familiar faces
Meeting once again.
A connection is there-
It can never be damaged
Or replaced.


It's funny how fate plays.
What was once a regular day
Is transformed into a lifetime
Of joy and love.

Two lost souls,
Finding home
I...n each other.
Like that of a mother and child-
The bond can never be broken.

Such perfection
Could never be completed by words.
This beautiful sensation
Forever remaining in voices unheard.
Oh, but your kindred soul
Shall always understand-
Every unspoken word,
Each hidden truth,
Every unshed tear.
I know you can.
Only you can.

Souls linked like known faces, meeting again, the bond is still and will always be there, it can never be hurt or replaced to the way it was before, comical how fate fools around, what was once a ordinary day, is changed into a life of bliss and love (not expecting to find such a wonderful friendship.) Two lost spirits, discovering home in each other (you were both lost until you found each other.)

Like the connection of a mother and a child can never be broken (you’ll always be connected in some way) such perfection could never be fulfilled by words, (you can’t explain the connection between the two of you because it’s just that deep, so beyond words.) This beautiful feeling eternally lasting in voices unheard (emotions eternally stunning by words you don’t have to speak because the other knows what you’re thinking without a word being said.)

This is my favorite line of the whole poem

“Oh, but your kindred soul, will forever know, every silent word, each unseen truth, each unshed tear, I know you can, only you can.” (Omniscient souls) will always know everything you want to say, the reality you try to hide and the emotions you’re too afraid to show. (You know that they are the only person that can know everything hidden in you because your souls are kindred.)

This is just my interpretation of your poem, I apologize if I’m wrong but everyone sees everything in a different way. This poem is emotional, loving, caring and deep. You’re blessed to have such a deep and meaningful friendship, they’re hard to come by these days.It’s a good write, you expressed your feelings so well. Keep it up! 100/100
