You are unlikely-

Far from what I dreamed of.

Opposite of all,

And yet you succeeded in making me fall.

What is it in you that caught me this way?

I can’t quite figure out.

You are the exception.

The only option.

The sole carrier of the emotions

I have withheld inside.

 

No one else has the same effect-

You make it hard to have self respect;

Why must you be so unkind?

To think that I had such high hopes

Now disappointment’s the only way to cope.

 

Still, I surrender.

My heart, yet again, I offer.

Because you are the exception.

The only option.

The sole carrier of my heart.

This is a rather sound take on trust.
Sometimes most of us become dependent on who we deem 'trustworthy', not recognizing the very real possibility of change.

On another note this is very much relative to paramore's 'the only exeption' which makes me like your poem even more!
