Lost, I am

Lost, I am

A Poem by rachielle

Saw myself in a newfound land.

Lost.

Faces rushing here and there;

Fear ignites in my soul- afraid,

I am.

Colors moving everywhere-

From corner to corner-

The rain pouring down the poorly cemented street,

Crushing it once more.

Yet, still, here I stand.

Lost.

Alone, unmoved, and frightened,

I am.

On top of the stairs I stand.

Lost.

Knowing not what to do;

Witnessing the toil of a dragging day,

I am.

An hour passed, here I am still.

Lost.

The rain still pouring,

Still finding my way,

I am.

Very descriptive scenes.
Has a hint of existentialism as the persona's priority is finding himself in a foreign environment.
Truly captivating. Structure could be improved though.
Good write Rach.
