Rainbow

Rainbow

A Poem by rachielle

Everything comes, everything goes,

This is what everybody knows;

But I want to differ.

I don’t want to suffer

Like everybody else;

But pain is inevitable.

So I fell

Into its sneaky trap

Without hope of coming up,

But I did.

After the rain there's a rainbow-

But it's temporary;

Yet they say at the end of the rainbow

Is a happiness that lasts eternally.

I don't know what happened,

Or how it came to be.

All I know is that you ended that rainbow for me.

My liberty came in the form of you-

You freed me from this cloud of blue.

You made me feel life’s worth

A million smiles on earth,

And so much more.

You showed me all the colors-

So lovely.

You led me the way down

To the paradise abound

And stayed there.

You held my hand

And didn’t let go.

The feelings you evoked

Is more than I can comprehend;

You taught me how it is

When you have an assurance

That forever is at hand.

This is more than I can demand-

That foolish happiness,

That never-ending bliss.
