Blissfully Hurting

Blissfully Hurting

A Poem by rachielle

Memories are refreshed

And blood rushes-

It stings like

A citric drop on an open wound.

Once again I'm crippled,

Hopeless and helpless;

Blissfully hurting-

As you point a gun down my throat.

You pull the trigger

And I give in yet again.

Why does life permit

Such cruelty,

Such bliss,

Such stupidity?

The linearity of your poem is clever.
It shows how the emotions stay unstably constant towards the bitter end.

Keep it up rachielle.
