A Summer Evening's Play

A Summer Evening's Play

A Poem by Ray' Quintas

Her skin opened and breathed with the lilac air-
filling her lungs with flowers and sweet times,
Painted lights, artistically smooth, careful not to disturb the peace-
it glowed a lite Periwinkle-
The color of her Mother's favorite wool sweater

Sister chased the bumble bees-
 in the distance, the petals of her Sunflower locks intertwined with the
 Fields of Gold

The Sun balanced HerSelf on the peaks of the Mountains-
Power-
Watching as Life Sloooows;
 Poetic Symphonies of the evening  begin playing from the old record player-
stuttering- searching for a few missing notes;
 A fluttering butterfly,
A drifting cloud,
 The Oak standing free and patient,
And,
The summer breeze sneaking thru Her window to steal a secret kiss

Fireflies dancing in the wind-
the air was as light as the scent that began this
all

Just wonderful. Unique beautiful and occasionally personalized imagery, phrased extremely well. Interesting that you made the sun female, usually the sun i make and the moon female. That being said, I applaud you for that and it is in perfect keeping with your ingenuity.
