tire swing

tire swing

A Poem by rachel ann

you remind me of trees
i love you so much it hurts
and i won't let anyone chop you down
and i want to swing on your long welcoming branches
in a tire swing in four in the afternoon
but does that mean that i cannot hang myself
in your arms that same night?

don't you see that i love you so, so much
please kill me

A sad ending to the poem. I like the use of nature and hope for love. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
