Untouched

Untouched

A Poem by Rachel Landes

If every cell is a diamond
And every raindrop
A tear
Then every hand
Would have a hand
To hold
But some shells
Cannot be peeled
And are better left
Untouched
And sometimes time
Is only kind to some
And some things beautiful
Are better left untouched
Stars share a blanket
Of sky
Snowflakes
A bed
But not all tongues
Speak the same tongue
And though they can kiss
And share food
And laps
They cannot share stories
Or write their story
In one language
And then
Another
Whilst one loves one
And the other
Another
