Recovery

A Poem by Rachel Landes
"

Soap, spaghetti and spacey

"
Creamy soap
And bubbles
Chunky knits
And choked off laughter
Tangled spaghetti
Like tubes
Like wires
Wondering why
I like white tablets
And spacing out

I really like the style you used in this poem - restricting yourself to short lines really works for this whole spacey, blank image conjured up by the poem's topic. There's also a somewhat darker tone to the whole thing, but I think on its very evocative imagery alone, you've done a great job. The ending is maybe a little unexpected - there's a sudden left-turn into unknown territory - but I feel like it works very well in this particular piece. Great word choice, great topic. Very well done.
