Your Time

Your Time

A Poem by Rachel Landes

I thought that

If something is true

It is true

So why

When I speak to you

Your time

Is not my time

How can the truth

Stretch

And bend

Like lasso

Strings

I am hungry

For

The truth

Clatter clatter

World will shatter

If it is not fully

True

It is not fully

Here

And there is a place

Where it has no place

And a time

without time

I see that

Do you not see that

There is something

Outside of time

It is a box

I want to step outside of

And feel freedom

On my face

With love
