Tainted Soul

Tainted Soul

A Poem by rachel
"

We all feel this way toward at least one person in our life...

"

Don't judge me.

Dont point and stare.

Whisper.

Glare.

I know you're there

Thinking acrid thoughts

About why I'm not

Exactly like the likes of you.

I'm better than that.

You are vile.

In denial

Of your bitter hatred

And your deeply tainted

Soul that's wasted.

Yes, I am definitely better than that.

You will not get the best of me.

You are nothing.

And you damn well know it.

Venting about co-workers and old "friends." I didn't even intend for this to rhyme at all. It just sorta happened that way.

A very good poem. Strong description and detail in your poem. Your words are true. Can't allow the downers of life to take us with them. I like the ending to the poem.

Well the fact you didn't intend it to rhyme when it flowed out shows just what pure talent you have, I like this, very witty in taking a stand to those who judge you.... for those who judge and ridicule you are really unhappy with themselves so need to put others down to feel superior.
