Thou shall not

Thou shall not

A Poem by rachel
"

Everyone knows those Christians who are so damn perfect that they look down on others that are not like them.

"

You looked at me
My sin
My faults
My failures

    But you didn't judge

You are better than me
And even if you knew that
You'd be far too humble
To admit such a thing.

Your smile makes me think
That I really can do better
That Im ok

    Even while broken.

You've been where I'm standing
You've struggled through worse.
You understand
And smile at the stupidity of it all

But the judgemental eyes of others
Who are too perfect to have fallen this far
They
    They are not my examples.

Christians that look down on others do injustice to their own religion.
I wish that more Christians would embrace being humble, and just quietly practice what they believe.
This was a nice, thought provoking write.
