Sunshine

Sunshine

A Poem by rachel
"

About seeing life with the glass half-full.

"

Somehow…

I get the feeling things are going to be ok.

I’ve been wearing flip-flops in cold weather for two days now

Because I can’t afford the laundry mat this week

And I’m out of socks.

My computer needs repairs.

My car is broken.

Even my bathroom light blub blew out last week

What sits there now is an empty socket.

But hey!

I have a roof over my head.

Never mind that it leaks water.

I have food in my fridge

Imported beer

And a cozy little room

In a basement

Where I can stand up on a chair

And peer out the tiny window

To see if the sun is shining.

I adore this..
I dunno. when I got home and checked here, I was kinda feeling out of it and down, but reading this really pumped some hope into my deflated veins. Thanks so much for sharing this.

Its an amazingly uplifting read.

I love these lines too, by the way.

It is not a perfect life, but hey, who has one! You are alive and breathing.. employed and have a roof over your head! The sun is shining and your lungs are taking in air and the heart is pumping.

This is what I call a good day!

This ink shows a clear picture that outlook is half of the battle...
Great ink!
