I doA Poem by sugarandsapmarriageA white veil, laced, blood seeps through the stitched fabric, a diluted red drips onto the face of an indecisive lover. A white gown, torn, beautiful and broken, like skin to the new bride. Something borrowed, the grief of a man's broken past. Something blue, the soul of an ivory woman. Something new, the happiness of freedom. He is gone now. Till death do them part, and so they parted. He said I do. Who wants a drink? She says I do. © 2018 sugarandsap |
