Writing Salon - EyesA Poem by RachelahAn exercise for Creative Writing called a Salon. Our objective was simply to write anything with the word, "eyes."Your eyes first drew me in Full of laughter, mischief, the person within Next, your smile, or rather your grin It shows your love of life, not held in The way your hold yourself, Confident, comfortable in your skin How you talk, engaged, interesting Always with your two cents to put in Your personality, so in control Intelligent, responsible, you don’t think fun is a sin In other words, you’re perfect From your attitude to that grin The way you go through life with a smile Even though you have no real body to live in You’re a character in my story My masterpiece, my work of art You’re the life of the fiction Though you’ll never have a real heart Such a shame you’re confined to these pages But I’ll give you power, I promise that You will live in the real world I’ll make you as big as the Cat in the Hat I owe you that © 2008 Rachelah |
