My QueenA Poem by Rachael RainbowShe walks like a queen With beauty without compare With grace extraordinare. Her eyes glow with strength, She seems to fill a room, Not just occupy it. Her lips are like the darling buds of May; I long to kiss them And make her look at me. Dear queen, I know that I am but a lowly subject; Can you find it in your heart To look at me With those green eyes you call your own? I wish it was my name you said, Caressed it like a prayer, Exalted! Shout my affections From the highest mountain. But alas. You will never want me. You have your king, You would never want another queen. © 2011 Rachael Rainbow |
