Blind

Blind

A Poem by rachpadgett

I don't want to let this go,

I can't tell you unless you know.

you do, you know; what's wrong with you?

These nights we can't undo,

the memories I can't afford to lose

If we could turn back time

and make this right

like a blind man's redemption,

would we regain our sight?

If I could see

in front of me

instead of behind

We could live in the moment,

if just for tonight.

Even though I would wake up

and realize you're gone,

I wouldn't remember

the reason you moved on.
