Ghost of You

Ghost of You

A Poem by Rachael Ojera
"

I wrote this song for my dear sister. I’m sure some of you have felt the same way.

"
I miss you and your round face
Your rosy cheeks
And you’d take up space

I miss you and your ginger hair
Laugh like dynamite
And you’d hug like hell

I miss you when you’d fight for yourself
Got caught up
And fought for everyone else

Oh, what I wouldn’t do
Oh, What I wouldn’t do
Oh, What I wouldn’t do

The way you try to tell me what you deserve
Smells like cheap liquor
And the needles work

Now you’re left picking up where you fell
You say the bruises love
They just hurt like hell

I can’t quite figure out who I’m looking at
Eyes that lie to me
And a crooked smile

Oh what I wouldn’t do
Oh, What I wouldn’t do
Oh, What I wouldn’t do
Oh, What I wouldn’t do
Oh, What I wouldn’t do

Now I’m looking at the ghost of you
The ghost of you
