Sirena Más LeonaA Poem by Richard Parker
She was like an angry pout, ruffled hair
or like pursed lips that couldn't hide a smile and her ever coquettish gaze beguiled She was quiet and serene, my maid-mer She was like two young loves' discovery or like the winds gentle and fresh caress and she was a friend when life was a mess She was my wont, my catchy melody She was like such an aberrant Earth's quake or like a fierce lioness, stalks it's prey and she could turn any sunset plain, gray She was my love, my friend and my heart's break She, miles away in both body and mind Me, a rolling stone with nothing but time © 2019 Richard ParkerAuthor's Note
