Hold My Hand

Hold My Hand

A Poem by Relvester

If i fall for you will you fall for me?
if we fall would it be for something good?
lets live for love the way we knew we should
i carve your name into a tree,
immortalized by the word 'forever'
we watch as wind blows through the leaves
theres nowhere else in this world i would rather be
then spending these last few moments,
together
just you and me
its funny how,
time flies when youre having fun,
but time stands still when we're in love
if time could fly
then love could fly greater than anything we ever knew
if i fall for you will you fall for me?
will we fall for something true?
a love as certain as the sky is blue
I carve your name into me
glorified by the colors of the blood and the ink
we watch as fire light the night sky
a thousand shades of red are glowing in your eyes
there is nowhere in this world i would rather be,
than spending these last few moments together,
just you and me
we lock our hands together
as rockets fly and people yell obscenities
fires growing in a million cities
'the end is near!' 'the end is near!'
all just a whisper to our ears
ashes fall like snow from blackened skies
"where will we go?' 'where will we go?'
nowhere to run, nowhere to hide!
we lat together in the grass....
our world is ending but our love will last
our love will last
