Remember the Mistletoe

asked by a friend to write a poem as corny and cliche as possible (it was x-mas) in the poem the speaker isn't referring to anyONE in particular, rather a dream girl he hopes to fall in love

it's christmas morning and i can't complain

i got a lot of special gifts, but i didn't exactly get what i wanted

all i wanted was you

i wish upon a shooting star or two,

doing all that i can to ensure

i'll eventually end up with you

yes it's true, i want you

if i had the chance to meet you

i'd tell you that you had me at hello

if i had the chance to kiss you,

i'd say you took my breath away

alarm clock set for 11:11,

make my nightly wish before i shut my eyes

and dream of you

all i want is you

if i see a fountain, i'll toss in a coin or two

making sure i do all i can to make this dream come true

if i had the chance to hold you,

i'd say 'you are my everything'

if i had the chance to be with you

i'd be sure to love you till the end of time,

and then i'd love you some more
