Splash

As he drove down the long, dark road the boy pulled a cigarette out of its case and put it to his lips. He made a turn and picked up his lighter, attempted to spark it before he had to turn once more and the fume went out. He removed the cigarette from his mouth and sighed as he eyed it speculatively, then put it back in the case and threw the case out the window as the wind buffeted his face.

"The world is amazing, " he breathed quietly as he leaned back comfortably into his headrest and struck the gas pedal until the car broke through a fence and fell into the ocean.
