![]() I SurrenderA Poem by Quinn W![]() A poem about me surrendering to my anxiety.![]()
I surrender.
I surrender in hopes that one day You will leave me alone. That You will find someone else to prey on. Of depression, You've caused me to be prone. Stealing my sleep, I yawn. I surrender. I surrender yet still You attack. I'm scared of everything. Constantly peering over my back. You've happily caused so much suffering. I surrender. I've surrendered and now I can't leave my house. The outside world is a terror to me. You've locked me in a cage like a mouse. i'm begging You, head on my knee. I surrender. I've surrendered my right to feel in control. I look around and all I see is remnants of You. You've reduced me to only a part of a whole. Although I'm upset, I like it too.
