laura

Laura is a 'beautiful' baby fish,

I called her baby fishy,

She swam around,

And fell to the ground.

 

She started to float,

Flipped upside down,

My 'beautiful' fishy,

Is a dead fishy now.

 

I used my net,

She was easy to catch,

For she didnt move,

And she couldnt go back.

 

I carried her out,

in the little green net,

Oh baby fishy,

Another one i will get.

 

Goodbye my dead fish,

I love you too,

Rest in peace,

In the loo.

I know it's meant to be sad, but I found it quite child-like and humorous, mainly because of that last stanza. I guess it is easy for someone to say goodbye to a fish, because as you say, you can always get another one, but nice to see a slightly lighter side to death, whether intentional or not :P
