Red is Blue

Red is Blue

A Poem by Brandon Quinn
"

A man is hanged for speaking his mind, but everybody around him is doing the same thing without punishment. The moral is we are equals, and if anybody else was in that place it'd be the same scene.

"
A thread cut by sharpened tongue,
silence absent as the flock roars,
beckoning death with no fear,
The flames crackle, and so do I.
Swinging like a pendulum clock,
as I gasp for breath I hear,
the hangman laugh.

A power packed poem however short in lines does not fall short in emotion and thought. Thanks for sharing.
