Reach YouA Poem by sutoraikaTell me how.My darling, tell me how to reach you if words cannot and if smiles and tears fail to move you.
I held onto your sleeve before you left. I did not want you to leave not until you embraced me
You hesitated because people were watching. Who cares what they think? Who gives a damn why they stare?
I wrote a poem for you once, but you failed to acknowledge it or tell me what you thought. I did not see the look on your face
when you read those pitiful words. And how would I know? I was away then. Away from your presence. Alone.
Words fail to touch. A soft gesture embarrasses. Tell me how to reach you, and I'll try my best.
