A Street BoyA Poem by raniA story of those millions who suffer ....but should not have been !
The street boy aimlessly stared....
The bread was thrown away... The last loaf ; That some needed it, nobody cared. Shattered he was, but kept up hope . The shop closed, the owner headed for home, The chap rushed to the bin -- Thoughts filled him...fearful , troublesome. Poor beggar he is, that's his only sin. Dark pale cheeks being dressed with drops of tear, He rose up...with a silent promise his inner self had made ; And went to the dirty slum somewhere near Uttering ' My sister is yet to be fed ....'
