How Can I

Weird is good

But only if you’re there

I don’t really care,

For anybody else.

All I ever see

Are your brilliant eyes

And your captivating smile

Let me breathe, for a while.

I just wanna know…

Chorus:

How long, can I go

Without you with me?

How strong, can I be?

Without your hand in mine?

How clear, can I think

Without your insanity?

How can I still be myself

Without you distracting me?

If I could,

I’d hold you and never let go.

I’d cry for you, smile for you, die for you.

Cause it’s true

I’ve fallen for everything,

Everything there is to you.

But I wanna know…

[Repeat Chorus]

There he stands

He’s waiting for you…

Here I stand

I’m thinking too much…

Yeah, I’m thinking too much.

I'm amazed that after six months of not using WritersCafe, I come back, click on a random work of fiction, and find this poem (or is it a song?). It has managed to perfectly - perfectly - articulate everything I am feeling at this moment. I cannot thank you more for posting this.
